Jake was one of Basin CrossFit’s first members—in fact, he started on our 2nd day of opening in 2011. Jake had always been a healthy individual and was even a cheerleader on the collegiate level. But after finding his career and a few years of living the sedentary lifestyle he had gained some weight. Jake used CrossFit for his new fitness journey, which led to a massive transformation of losing over 60 pounds of body fat, improved health markers, and a newfound passion for high-intensity exercise competition and living a healthy lifestyle. In 2013, Jake decided he wanted to help others on the fitness journey using CrossFit methods just like he had done. Jake’s passion really lies in trenches of the workouts. He’s the guy who will always push you to do just a little more and go a little bit harder.
